GSM is mass per unit area, in grams per square metre. The usual method means cutting a sample to an exact area with a template or die cutter before weighing it. The Intelligent GSM Scale weighs the piece as it is and uses AI to measure its actual area, whatever the shape, then calculates GSM directly.
